rural ministry projects

Many rural communities throughout Pakistan lack basic necessities many of us take for granted. To help alleviate some of the pressure these communities face, CMI helps provide support in the following areas:

food distribution

Many rural communities throughout Pakistan are impoverished, and families struggle to keep enough food on the table.

To help relieve these communities, CMI engages in food distribution projects. These acts of kindness open the door to share the gospel and a message of hope with these hardworking but hurting communities.

Before and after each food distribution, CMI has the opportunity to hear peoples’ stories, pray for their needs, and often share the Word of God to a crowd of people. These opportunities to meet peoples’ physical and spiritual needs are foundational to CMI’s work.

water well projects

According to the latest figures from the United Nations World Water Development Report (2020), 26% of the world’s population (2 billion people) did not have access to safely managed drinking water services, and an estimated 46% (3.6 billion) lacked access to safely managed sanitation.

Many rural communities in Pakistan fall into these statistics. To address this issue and provide a solution in some of Pakistan’s remote villages, CMI has helped lead the way for the implementation of water wells. Often, these wells are dug in communities CMI has been able to build relationships, minister the gospel, and understand the unique challenges and opportunities these communities face. As you can imagine, the need for safe water is one of the most pressing concerns they have.

medical camps

Access to medical care for rural communities in Pakistan is challenging. Not only can transportation to clinics be difficult for these communities, but the costs are simply out of their reach. Because of this, medical needs are often put on the back burner.

Thankfully, CMI is meeting the needs of these rural communities by providing medical camps. These camps consist of qualified medical personnel who provide free examinations and care to individuals.

In a world that often forgets about the most helpless, CMI is honored to serve these precious communities in this capacity.

feminine hygiene campaigns

“Period poverty” is a term used to describe a lack of access to proper menstrual products and the education needed to use them effectively. For rural (and urban) women throughout Pakistan, period poverty is a very real issue and can have serious consequences.

Without access to hygienic products and an understanding of how to use them, many women in Pakistan face a variety of issues, like infection, breakthrough bleeding, and dropping out of school to isolate during menstruation.

In January of 2023, CMI launched its first-ever feminine hygiene campaign in a village near Faisalabad. Around 70 women showed up to receive education on healthy menstrual care and a free package of pads. Let’s continue our fight to end period poverty!
